What strikes me the most in my workplace is that the children are picky with their mentors and extremely intelligent, they're like Aliens from another galaxy. Their was this girl(not going to mention her name) and she needed help writing "a"paragraph, before she was getting help from my mentor Eduardo and he needed to go to the restroom and get some files. He told me to help her with her paragraph... so I did, I helped her with getting info for her thesis and her arguments, 35 minutes pass she had three pages done on how young children can stand up against bullies in different ways.
I always wanted to intern in a museum but since that didn't work I intern in the Learning Center.... Ive never ever in my life been so struck, those children are smarter than me. That's it, that's what strikes me. A six year old doing nine grade math I forgot to do in the last three years. I thought I was smart, that's what strikes me how the new generation is better than us I thought they would just be on their phone playing candy crush or some other game with their little chubby fingers but no their little einsteins. I was so struck it change my point of view of the new generation. Am pretty excited to go to work every day and see what else these young children can do. What worries me is when am mentoring a child who needs help in a math quiz that will prepare them for a math test. It scares me, I think about if I tough the math wrong or something. That child could fail the test and their going to blame me for it, which is scary for me and that's what worries me when am helping a child with math (math only every thing else am good at).
